Well Merry Christmas everybody!
I finally have a decent broadband connection, and i've managed to fix the email problems (touch wood).
I have the aussie tracks cranking on the laptop, (currently Paul Kelly "every f%#&ing city" - how cliched i know... it's on random i swear!)
I finished work late - since when do i ever do overtime!!!?!?
i have my christmas tree lit up...

I just figured out how to shrink these. No, i'm not sitting in the dark, but the tree looks better in the dark when you can't see the bald patches.
It snowed or probably just frosted over last night. this morning everything was really beautiful covered in the frost. tried to get some shots on the broken camera, not sure if it worked. spider webs look wicked covered in frost.

this is from staines bridge looking at the swan hotel. where everyone from work has beers, when they're not at the town hall, or baroosh. it's foggy here at the mo.
This one is just accross the road from work, and i am enjoying having my dockers scarf. You can see my face says "i'm happy, but it's definitely cold".
I have to do some washing but I miss Daz...
had the JPK xmas party on the 9th. here are some pics:

Does anyone look at this and not think "i really ought to slide down that handrail"?
I've found the shots from my flat looking at the river:

I caught up with Khangster and his girlfriend the other day. a couple of beers in London somewhere...
The poms are crazy. I walked past a street called prospect place, and didn't think much of it. some pom clown decided he might find some gold...
On Thursday was the BP/JPK windup, at the town hall - naturally. So somehow i ended up crashing it (onshore isn't cool enough yet, but Francesca and I are working on the onshore credibility). It was quite a boozy affair. Many were late in the next day. but it didn't matter: the one building is linked to the other building's servers with a line of site connection, or "laser", and in the fog they can't get a signal. smrt. not like london's known for being foggy. someone must have ended up with a bunch of free SCADA gear or something...
Anyway, please meet some of my new friends:
Andy and James...
Excuse me lads!
"Do you think he saw us?"
And Evren ( i think he's mates with Mike Stock)...

A few weeks back I ventured into Horsmonden to see some rellies:

Bid, me and Nick (Bid's hubby).
Dom:
Me and Dom's wife Leith (an Aussie):

And it wouldn't be an aussie's website without some discussion on the ashes. everyone at work refuses to talk aboutit, so i gave them something subtle to think about...
Well i'm about done, it's 2am here. i guess i should start ringing aussies...

Hey hey, G has found an apartment and is moving in on Saturday 25th Nov.
3 Barrington Court, Argosy Gardens, Staines, Middlesex, TW18 xxx, UK
You can google it or just check the Staines Gallery (photos soon).
Anybody watch the cricket? Oh wait - that would be everyone in Australia, yes (execpt Daz who's probably test driving a Carla Zampatti Laser...) Aparently the locals don't watch cricket much. Nobody seemed to know thee ashes was on...
Bollocks. They know. And they're hurting. Casual day tomorrow, I think a cricket Australia T-Shirt is in order (over the top of everything I own, due to the weather here...) Gary, Clem, you know who you are. Your team is not doing so well it seems.
If you know any other poms who need to be ripped on, just tell G.
Come on Aussie, come on, come on...
Oh dear, I asked the security guard (at the office, he's trying to kick me out because it's 8.30pm) to name a girl's car for the Daz-piss-take above, and, oh my god, for the last 10 mins he's been telling me "she should get a car like the one she learned in"...
"No" I said. "I mean what's a girly car, so that if I'm pulling the p!ss out of a guy, I can say he drives that girly car..."
"if you get one like she learned in, she'll know all the controls"... "how old is the girl"...(I said 22, he said... your daughter?)... "you should get a second hand car, they're cheaper"... "fords are good, cos there's lots of spare parts"... "What colour does she like?".
Aaaaggghhh! I was tempted to put in spelling mistakes on purpose to make him look stupid, but I suspect it wasn't necessary...

The first stop on my trip was Melbourne, where I caught up with Lex and Em and a few of their friends.
I found a couple of photos on my phone, but there are more coming from the camera soon! Lex says to say hi and hopes you're all well.
They live in St Kilda, which I thought was a pretty nice area. Apart from Melbourne being stupidly cold (not ridiculously cold like it is in London) St Kilda would be the kind of place I'd like to live someday.

We went to a wildlife park outside San Antonio.
I've uploaded some pics. The first customer was an emu, i hate those vicious fellas and wasn't going to let one nibble food out of my hand - flat hands or whatever!
We drove through the park and once we got away from the emus i chilled a little. There were ostriches, and all kinds of deer, buffalo (yes, like the club) and even texas longhorns.
It was pretty sweet, see pics. A deer ate my hair - pic coming later.
